Gourmet pizza and more |
12447 South Dixie Highway Miami, FL 33156 United States +1 305 233 3344 |
A devoted crowd comes to this eatery for its delicious gourmet tomato pies, French bread, specialty salads, and wraps. Portions are generous. Salads come stuffed in bread. Sandwiches ($5.75-$6.25) are sliced in thick wheels and artistically arranged on your plate. The signature pizzas (22 to choose from) are immaculately prepared and moderately priced. Cash or checks are accepted only; no credit cards accepted. Squeaky clean and very 80s in decor, this informal cafe seats only two-dozen or so people, at the counter and at a handful of tables. Unique Wood Buring Oven Cuisine |
3138 Commodore Plaza Miami, FL 33133 United States +1 305 448 1970 http://www.aandm.net/Cucina/CC... |
Located off of Commodore Plaza up a set of wide stairs, Cucina Creative is an oasis in the Grove. You'll find two sitting areas in this establishment; outside with an inviting bar and indoors with a more private feel and air conditioning. There is also a large screen that projects recordings of live concerts for background music. The creative food is all prepared in a wood-burning oven. Pizzas, traditionally baked in this way, are a delicious mixture of flavors topped with fresh greens. The chefs' other creations include dishes like succulent Shrimp Risotto and Seafood Linguine, fresh fish and meats with a soft smoky flavor. The homemade house bread is also baked on the wood-burning oven. Salads are innovative, and sprinkled with fruits and light vinaigrettes. The desserts cap off a perfect evening and a small wine list can provide an appropriate vintage to accompany your meal. If you like Italian food, but want something different, Cucina Creativa is for you. -Mercedes de Marchena Review © 2007, Wcities |

A local landmark |
13695 West Dixie Highway Miami, FL 33161 United States +1 305 891 7641 |
Although the neighborhood has drastically changed over the course of 30 years, the fabulous food and friendly service offered at this popular eatery has not changed one bit. You will find classic Italian dishes like Baked Ziti, Lasagna and Veal Parmigiana to die for. Peerless New York-style thin-crust pizza will haunt you forever, and tangy garlic rolls are absolutely the best anywhere. Surprisingly low prices ($5-$8) prevail. They do not take reservations except for parties of thirty or more. Bring cash; your plastic is just plastic here. Review © 2007, Wcities |
