Recently voted Best Techie Bar in the Twin Cities by the local weekly paper, this is definitely not a nerdy place. Happy hour draws all the professionals from downtown St. Paul up onto Cathedral Hill, and this is one of the first places to fill up. A large curving bar accommodates the regulars, while diners at the tables choose between burgers, chicken or pasta dishes, a cut above pub grub. This club-like bar seems to be one of the last retreats of the cigar-smoking connoisseur. In the summer, ditch the smoke by dining at a sidewalk table. Pool, darts and plenty of TVs entertain the evening crowd. A good selection of imported beer, along with the standard beverages, makes this spot hot. Review © 2009, Wcities |
