In 1993, this state-of-the-art arena was opened to the city of Minnesota. Mariucci arena was named after Gopher-hockey legend John Mariucci, a former University of Minnesota player and head coach. The 9,600-seat facility includes a high-tech ice-refrigeration system, and excellent accoustics.
