Gator's

Florida everglades mixed with a college campus
408 East Broadway
Mall of America
Minneapolis, MN 55425
United States
+1 952 858 8888
Trying to disguise the fact that it is located in the megamall, Gator's has created the atmosphere of the Florida everglades mixed with a college campus. The pub offers pool, darts, pinball and video games to pass the time. Most nights the dance floor is filled with a young crowd getting down to the sounds of alternative rock music. If you need a shopping break, stop in for a burger, sandwich, salad or appetizer. The bar is fully stocked with all the favorite beverages (beer, wine, cocktails, soda).

This elegant California-type bistro is a stylish oasis amid the sometimes-maddening pace of the mega-mall. If you just cannot get enough of the mall, request a table on the patio. Napa Valley Grille offers an impressive menu highlighted by grilled mahi mahi, roast pork loin, flaky halibut and lamb chops. Rigatoni with sea scallops and the grilled ostrich fillet will treat your taste buds. If a quick burger or sandwich is all you desire, the menu offers a variety of both. Cheesecake, a luscious chocolate brownie or vanilla ice cream tops off any meal in a satisfying way. With the name Napa Valley, you would expect an extensive wine list and you won't be disappointed. The selection of beer and cocktails is top shelf and soft drinks, juices and iced tea are also available.

Players Bar & Grill

Excellent piano bar
402 E Broadway
Mall of America
Minneapolis, MN 55425
United States
+1 952 858 5505
The Mall of America is well known for its plethora of stores but less known for its excellent piano bars. And that is really too bad, because this is a great spot and clearly overlooked. A touch above the average mall nightclub, it is not considered a sports bar but there are plenty of TVs to watch the game. The pianists will play any rock or pop tune requested; they know them all and urge the patrons to sing along. If singing in public is not your style, try pool, foosball, darts or pinball. The bartenders are always experimenting with new concoctions. Before you order ask what is new in the lab. Enjoy your beverage with a crispy taco salad or huge slab of ribs. Pastas and burgers are favorites too. Be sure to leave room for dessert and definitely order the All-American apple pie with mounds of ice cream and caramel sauce.

This restaurant offers one of the most unique dining experiences anywhere. Where else do diners check in with the elephant and chat with the resident parrots while waiting for their table? Stepping into the dining area is like entering a jungle, complete with a canopy of lush foliage, wildlife and even an occasional thunderstorm in the distance. The atmosphere is enhanced by cascading waterfalls, giant-sized saltwater aquariums and a fiber-optic star scape. The Rainforest offers a wide variety of Mexican, Italian, Cajun and American cuisine as well as a special children's menu.
