+1 612 343 7696
http://www.112eatery.com/defau...
If there are any nonbelievers out there saying there isn't world-class cuisine in Minnesota, send them to 112 Eatery and they will eat their words, along with every tasty morsel put in front of them at this popular restaurant. The food here has been praised by publications like, eh hem, Food and Wine magazine and Bon Appetite. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, also lively well into the night, since they serve late. The Lamb Scottadito is simply to die for, and the Nori Encrusted Sirloin w/ Ponzu bursts with flavor, then gently melts in your mouth. They also have a very impressive and diverse wine list, and a broad selection of dessert wines and ports. People come here for the whole dining experience, and it won't disappoint. If you are thinking of eating here, well, you probably are thinking just like everyone else, so make it easy on yourself and make a reservation.

The 128 Café, with its varnished pine paneling and cozy seating, has a stylish romantic charm, to which the white linen tablecloths and flower vases add a touch of elegance. The simple menu features very tasty offerings. The sauteed chicken breast with charred tomato and basil salsa or the vegetarian entree of grilled red peppers, asparagus, zucchini, yellow squash and shiitake mushrooms served over pasta are very satisfying. A side order of grilled or broiled shrimp complements any dish. Top off your meal with a chocolate chunk brownie a la mode with caramelized pecans and chocolate sauce. A selection of wines, beers, fruit juices, coffees, teas and mineral waters are served. Brunch is offered on Sundays from 10am-2pm.

This is another successful endeavor by the Blueplate Restaurant Company (no relation to H. W. Longfellow and his penciled ponderings!). In this grill, dark wood rules the interior, and the many windows allow for natural lighting. Dine on the patio and watch the Mississippi flow by, or inside, where the feisty waitresses are at your beck and call. An entree like the French Quarter Fettuccini should not be given a miss, unless you opt for the Gorgonzola Tamales. Enjoy the funky paintings as you wait for your meal to arrive.

For over a decade, this vivacious Uptown bistro has been one of the area's most appealing restaurants. The modest and reasonably priced menu changes weekly, normally offering two or three appetizers, soup, salad and four entrees. Start with an appetizer of ravioli filled with a puree of orange squash or prosciutto wrapped asparagus with potato gnocchi. Choose an entree of crab cakes with red pepper aioli and vegetable sauté or grilled New York strip steak with morel mushrooms and cabernet mashed potatoes. For dessert try a chocolate tart, caramel topped cheesecake or a simple fruit crisp. The wine list is, of course, quite extensive. The selection of imported beer is exceptional. Brunch is served on the weekends.
