Brasserie Zinc

Touts an international flavor
1010 Nicollet Mall
Minneapolis, MN 55403
United States
+1 612 904 1010
Splashes of French, Spanish and the Mediterranean tout an international flavor in this downtown hotspot. Like the bistros of Paris, the menu is sprawled on mirrors as you enter. The cream walls with gold accents and white tiled floors show a Spanish flair. The breakfast and lunch menu features traditional favorites from omelets, pastries and crepes to burgers, soups and salads. The cold seafood platter of crab legs, clams, oysters, shrimp and mussels can be a palate-pleasing appetizer for two or three or a satisfying entrée for one. A crisp garden or Caesar salad is a delicious start to any meal while the Apple Tart is the perfect ending. The wine and beer list features numerous domestic and imported brands. Cocktails, juices and soft drinks are also available.

Chez Colette Lounge

An Authentic Brasserie
5601 W 78th St
(Hotel Sofitel)
Minneapolis, MN 55439
United States
+1 952 835 1900
http://www.sofitel.com
Nestled in the stylish Hotel Sofitel is an authentic brasserie, specializing in French food and wines. The glamorous surroundings and superb service will dazzle you. A jazz trio sets the mood on Friday and Saturday evening. Omelets, steak and eggs, fresh pastries and bagels, cream soups, deli sandwiches, salads and quiche are the highlights by day. Dinner is a culinary delight. Start with Crêpe à la Reine, filled with chicken and mushrooms in cream sauce or Escargots de Bourgogne, drenched in garlic parsley butter. Next, the soupe a l'oignon gratinee, a vintage French onion soup served under a bubbling cheese crust. No one can resist an entrée of chicken simmered in red Burgundy wine with mushrooms, pearl onions and bacon, or braised lamb shank with garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. On the lighter side, linguini tossed with vegetables, wild mushrooms, garlic and olive oil is just right. The wine list is highlighted by French imports and rather expensive. Beer, cocktails, juices, coffee, tea and soft drinks are also served.

The tempting entrees include baked sea scallops, filets of beef and roasted duck. Wine, beer, cocktails and soft drinks are served. Palomino Euro-Bistro

Chic place to be
825 Hennepin Ave
Minneapolis, MN 55402
United States

http://www.palomino.com/
This restaurant, with its hand-blown glass chandeliers, large faux marble tables and fifteen-foot murals of Matisse's frolicking nudes, embodies sophistication. The Palomino is always packed and pulsating with energy. As its name would imply, it features a Mediterranean and southern European menu. The wood-roasted meats and hearth-baked cracker crust pizzas are big hits. The spit-roasted chicken or crab meat crispy crust pizzas are favorite appetizers among most diners. Mediterranean mussels with lemon butter, wood-oven roasted fresh fish or portabello salads are highlights. A variety of pasta dishes, seafood, fowl and steaks are featured. Layered chocolate pound cake or cheesecake are the perfect ending for any meal. An excellent selection of wine, beer or liquor is available from the cozy bar.

Vincent: A restaurant

Excellent interiors, so is the food
1100 Nicollet Mall
Minneapolis, MN 55403
United States

This petite French restaurant offers an excellent dining experience with intimate dining rooms and splendid food. The amenities at the restaurant are definitely worth commenting. The dining room has ornamental light fittings and beautiful paintings adorn the walls. For starters, try the carpaccio with creamy goat cheese. Dig into the Fennel seed-crusted salmon for the main course.
