A number of vegetarian choices are on the menu at this cheerful Pacific Grove dining spot. Herbivores can dine on deliciacies such as Portobello Mushroom Ravioli or Quattro Tagioni Pizza. There are quite a few meat choices (such as the elegant Basil Steak), but in general the cuisine is a bit lighter than the rich fare found at many Italian eateries. A fresh seafood specialty is featured every day. There is a limited wine and beer selection. The decor is breezy and casually upscale. There is no dress code and the service is great. You can eat indoors or at a table on the patio. The menu includes items from burritos to baked potatoes and herbed sandwiches to wheat grass cocktails. In addition, you can order fresh juices, smoothies, steamed rice with bananas, and more. Try a bagel with hummus.

+1 831 373 0335 Consistently named "Best Restaurant for Vegetarians" by local publications, Tillie Gort's is a great place to hang out and enjoy fresh, healthy meals. Though the vegetarian (and even vegan) options are plentiful (don't miss the veggie-laden pastas or the "No Meat" Loaf), carnivores are looked after as well (chicken enchiladas or a cheeseburger with sauteed mushrooms ought to do the trick). Breakfast is popular, probably due to the alluring array of scrambles, omelettes and benedicts (not to mention the Artichoke Frittada or the Cinnamon French Toast). Lunchtime visitors can either order a sandwich from the menu or come up with their own recipe from the list of meats, cheeses, and condiments. This is no ordinary deli counter, either. The choices include pesto, grilled onions and Jarlsberg cheese. The decor is adorable within and without. Bright murals and baskets of flowers accent the airy dining room and the shaded outdoor patio.
