Located close to Olympic Park, this area was an 18-hole golf course until the mid-1970s. The course has since been cut back and much of it turned into a popular public greenspace. In the summer you can cycle, picnic under the shady trees, or watch a neighbourhood baseball or soccer game; in the winter, there is skating on a lighted rink, tobogganing and cross-country skiing. Not heavily frequented by tourists, this is nonetheless a great spot to spend an afternoon. Review © 2009, Wcities |
