Once home to most of Canada's socioeconomic elite, this fabulously wealthy district still boasts some famous residents and hundreds of beautiful homes. With a population just over 20,000, predominantly Anglophone Westmount still operates as an autonomous city within Montreal. Geographically speaking, the city begins at Atwater to the east, runs north slightly past Mount Royal and west to Claremont Avenue.
