Located well away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre in the district of Obermenzing, it is nevertheless still easy to reach the heart of Munich from here on the S-Bahn (urban railway). Rooms are simple but functional, equipped to a normal standard with shower, WC and TV. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Extremely comfortable |
Dachauer Straße 91 Maxvorstadt Munich, Bayern 80335 Germany +49 89 542 7190 http://www.hotel-montree.de info@hotel-montree.de |
This modern, mid-range hotel is some distance away from the city center, but close to the Technical University, the museum district and the bars of Neuhausen. Good transport facilities are on hand. Furnishings are bright and tasteful, although perhaps a little cool (marble and glass tables—very 1980s). Rooms are small but functional with modern facilities (fax modem connections), bath or shower and WC. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Rotkreuzplatz 2 Neuhausen Munich, Bayern 80634 Germany +49 89 139 9080 http://www.hotel-rotkreuzplatz.de info@hotel-rotkreuzplatz.de |
Centrally situated in the district of Neuhausen, a lively and slightly alternative area, the hotel is a family-run business, and was completely renovated in 1994 when the interior was redesigned to accommodate guests with disabilities. The bright and cheery rooms are equipped with every creature comfort and there is a wonderful breakfast buffet. The hotel is easily accessible by car or public transport, and there is a direct underground link to the Neue Messe exhibition centre. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Munich's Youth Hostel is centrally situated on Rotkreuzplatz and offers its guests one of the cheapest overnight stays in the city. In spite of its size (385 beds) it is often fully booked, particularly during the high season, so it is advisable to book in advance. Rooms with two to six beds are available, as well as a dining room, a TV room and two small seminar rooms. Bikes can also be hired. The usual Youth Hostel rules such as quiet periods, no alcohol, single sex dorms and evening curfews should be observed. The Youth Hostel is closed from 1st-31st December. Review © 2007, Wcities |
