Indian scene |
Baaderstraße 11 Glockenbachviertel Munich, Bayern 80469 Germany +49 89 201 6465 |
Located in the midst of the lively Glockenbachviertel, a neighbourhood brimming with bars and restaurants, this trendy place offers great northern and southern Indian cuisine. The mostly young clientele come here to fill up on a curry, thali, or biryani before heading out into the night; others stay on to drink an Indian beer in the comfort of this fairytale-like and tastefully decorated establishment. Small and spicy |
Seitzstraße 13 Lehel Munich, Bayern 80538 Germany |
A small and friendly Indian restaurant which feels a bit like a sitting room. Jeeta's specialises in original north Indian Punjab cuisine and the chef is renowned throughout Munich for the magic he works with the spices. There is also a wide selection of tandoori meat and vegetable dishes, cooked over charcoal in the tandoor and brought to the table in a steaming dish. Every dish has its own individual mix of spices; even the lassi is especially good. Each guest is greeted as if they were an old friend and the service is impeccable. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Indian family restaurant |
Elvirastraße 12 Neuhausen Munich, Bayern 80636 Germany +49 89 129 7341 |
This family restaurant (run by the Singh family) has a typical Indian ambience without being over-the-top, and offers a good variety of dishes from India's many regions: e.g. a good selection of chicken dishes for EUR9.50-12, vegetarian meals and curries for EUR8.25-9.75. The lamb is also highly recommended; try the botti kebab (marinated lamb fillet and vegetables on a skewer) for EUR12.50. Meals can be accompanied by a glass of chai (Indian herbal tea) or lassi (a yoghurt drink). Review © 2007, Wcities |

Rama provides Munich with some of the best north Indian food. They offer a wide variety of tasty hot breads. The food, like in north India, is made of fresh spices and ingredients rather than powdered spices. Don't forget to sample their yogurt! Food is made spicy upon request. Also, they have an Italian menu to cater to the people in your group who may not have a taste for Indian cuisine. This helps especially with children! -Tulika Richter Review © 2007, Wcities |
