Exclusive Italian food |
Frans-Hals-Straße 3 Munich, Bayern 81479 Germany +49 89 79 9885 http://www.al-pino.de/ |
This restaurant offers high-class Italian cuisine in quiet and sunny surroundings. Although located in up-market Solln, it is not just a haven for the wealthy. You will look in vain for pizza on the menu: the main emphasis is on exquisite pasta and traditional main courses, with the fish dishes being particularly good. The wine list is excellent, although a bit pricey. In the summer, guests can sit outside on the sunny patio. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Oyster cellar |
Stollbergstraße 11 Innenstadt Munich, Bayern 80539 Germany +49 89 29 8787 http://www.die-auster-muc.de/ |
For more than two decades, this has been one of the top places in town for fish, oysters and seafood. The wonderful seafood and fresh water delicacies are served in many different guises. The restaurant, situated in a lavishly decorated cellar, even has a special caviar menu EUR 27.5. Main courses cost in the region of EUR 25. The selection of wines is excellent. An institution in town |
Pfisterstraße 9 Innenstadt Munich, Bayern 80331 Germany +49 89 22 1210 |
This old Munich institution had to move from its old home to new lodgings just in front of the Hofbräuhaus. However, the Boettner has remained true to itself and to its clientele. The old furniture was transferred and even the menu has hardly changed: traditional dishes are prepared in classical style by Frank Hartung and Wilhelm Eichinger. There is a great wine list and a lovely garden. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Fish the French way |
Rablstraße 37 Haidhausen Munich, Bayern 81669 Germany +49 89 48 7220 |
This pleasant place concentrates on fish cooked the French way. With the fish shop L'Océan just around the corner, you can be sure that only the freshest fish is served. The preparation is simple yet perfect; the fish is often served grilled with assorted vegetables. The five-course meal EUR 37 is good value and should ideally be accompanied by a bottle of the house Muscadet. Main courses cost about EUR 17.50-20. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Upbeat restaurant |
Christophstrasse 3 Munich, Bayern 80538 Germany +49 (0)89 2554 1966 http://www.go-cocoon.de/ |
Dine in style at this elegant eatery specializing in seafood. The decor consists of overhead lighting, subtle tones and plenty of steel and woodwork. A la carte and set lunches please the palate, though not the wallet. Wines from Nahe, Baden and Pfalz rub shoulders with the Italian and French varietals. There's lounge music playing in the background as well, while television screens and a fish tank provide visual entertainment. For a hushed evening with your loved one, feel cocooned right here. The best of Greek cuisine |
Theresienstraße 17 Maxvorstadt Munich, Bayern 80333 Germany |
You have your first surprise when you go into Kápari and see an entire wall covered with shelves of brightly colored bottles. The second surprise lies in the menu. Its contents bear little relation to the usual Greek restaurant fare. The selection of starters itself is a voyage of discovery into a cuisine with a difference. There is also an unusually wide variety of fish dishes. If that doesn't appeal to you, the meat dishes are also delicately prepared and seasoned. It comes as no surprise that the prices are somewhat higher than average. Greek cuisine at its finest. Review © 2007, Wcities |
