Racing legend Mario Andretti established this Tuscan-inspired winery in 1996. Located on the southern end of the Napa Valley, the 53-acre vineyard produces Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, and Sauvignon Blanc vintages that are featured in the tasting room. Guests are encouraged to tour the 4,000-square-foot facility designed to look like a Tuscan villa. Up to 300 guests can be accommodated for private parties. The Winner's Circle Wine Club offers members two bottles of wine four times a year, recipes from Mario's kitchen that complement Andretti wines, discounts, a newsletter, special tours and tasting. The center embodies the unique culture of the Napa Valley, which is world-renowned for its fine wine gourmet cuisine. Copia is a place for visitors to enjoy a great meal at Julia's Kitchen (Julia Child's restaurant), see exhibitions (don't miss the interactive fun in Forks in the Road), attend a wine tasting, or listen to a concert on the river terrace. There are also cooking classes, lectures on all things to do with taste, and Julia's own set of copper cookware on display. Plan a day out and saunter around in the gardens, go visit the exhibitions, or simply taste some of Napa's best fare. Sparkling reds and whites |
3939 Lovall Valley Road Sonoma, CA 95476 +1 707 935 3939 http://www.faverovineyards.com/ faverovineyards@vom.com |
A limited collection of wines are found here, and for good reason. Owners Fred and Ginger take great pains to clear land, plant the groves, prune and harvest grapes. And that's only just the beginning of the procedure. An arduous blending procedure, which includes filtering and storing, results in streams of the glittering, delicious fluid, with rich textures. The bottles too, are designed to attract, with their smart colors and classy labels. The specialty of the place is the divine dessert wine - Moscato Del Millenio. Book a date with them and let the wines carry you away! Review © 2007, Wcities |
Wine, music and song |

Music, literature, picnics and wine come together at this winery, located on beautiful, well-tended slopes. The hillside amphitheatre is a big attraction with spring and summer performances, while the Midsummer Mozart Festival orchestra performs some of Mozart's accomplished works. Another event to capture is the Gunbun Summer Fun Film Fest, with live music, a barbecue, wine and cheese tasting and a feature film as the day draws to a close. Oh, and the wines are refreshing, by the way! Review © 2007, Wcities |

Canoe, Venice style!! |
P.O. Box 10881 Napa, CA 94581 +1 707 224 9080 http://www.napariveradventures... webdiva@napariveradventures.com |
Water Baby? Then you will love this place. Canoe, Cruise or Kayak down the rapid-free Napa River and enjoy the surrounding marshes. There is good news for the parents; they offer a discounted rate for children. And as for all you romantics, cruises happen only on the nights of the full-moon. So head on there for some real Shakespearean-type romance. The Renaissance is back in vogue. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Hop on this train and experience a first-class meal and fine wines as you tour the wine county. The train offers champagne brunch, a casual lunch and fancy dinners. It is ideal for romantic dinners, executive parties and tourist excursions. The train's decor reinforces the elegant nature of the trip. You will remember the mahogany, brass and etched glass in the restored 1917 Pullman Dining Car. At the McKinstry Street Station starting point, you will find a handful of charming little shops that specialize in wine (of course), gourmet foods and gifts. Review © 2007, Wcities |

A picnic ground and trailhead at the base of the hill lead to steep trails up to the boulder-strewn valley rim. Hikers and horse riders are greeted with pretty views of the valley and a respite from the wine-soaked tourist crush of the valley floor. Some moderate degree of cardiovascular fitness is advisable before setting off. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Happiness Guaranteed |
1245 Main Street Napa, CA 94559 +1 707 255 7150 http://www.vintnerscollective.... info@vintnerscollective.com |
If a walk in a vineyard is not on your 'to-do' list, add it immediately. Vintner's tours are amazing. Take a walk through Napa's fine vineyards, barrel-tasting sessions and exceptional views. 18 fantastic wineries charter space at Vintner's Collective, so don't miss their spring and summer tours. If you want to cut to the chase and just sip on wine, then go for their wine tasting sessions. And these sessions own names too - try The Pfeiffer Tasting, The Luxe Tasting or the Intermediate. With 18 wineries all around, this place will definitely leave you 'happy'. Review © 2007, Wcities |
