Centrally located in St. Helena, this popular eatery owned by Cindy Pawlcyn serves delicious sandwiches and mouth-watering fish, chicken, pork and steak dishes. The petite food menu is divided into small plates and large plates. And the bar features chilled beer, delectable cocktails, and freshly squeezed lemonade. Under the desserts category, you can choose from pies, puddings and cakes. You can sample some locally-produced wine along with your food each Thursday night, too. All-in-all, great meals, friendly service and a festive atmosphere are what you can look forward to when you dine here. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Classic steakhouse |
1122 Main Street Napa Valley, CA 94559 United States +1 707 224 6328 http://www.coleschophouse.com/ |
An historic stone building houses this classic American steak restaurant that has received rave reviews, the most recent from the San Francisco Chronicle and the Examiner. The chef has worked and cooked with famous chefs all across the country and his entrees include a 21-Day Chicago Dry Aged New York Strip Steak and New Zealand Lamb Chops. Throw in some excellent sides and a variety of custom martinis and you have a great steak dinner. For drama, try the flaming Bananas Foster for dessert. The wine list features mostly Napa Valley cabernet sauvignons, zinfandels, and merlots. The service is dynamite and the place caters to locals and tourists. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Napa Valley Innovation |

At Pilar, located in downtown Napa, innovation is the name of the game. The lunch menu, while paying homage to home cookin' with items as simple as a ham 'n' cheese sandwich, also features inventions as exotic as crab tostadas and lamb lasagna. At dinner, meals are a bit less linguistically whimsical, but no less elegant. Venison flank steak, pan-fried sand dabs and day boat scallops are just a few of the choice offerings you might find on a visit to this culinary mecca. Dessert brings a whole selection of favorites, once again perked up with helpings of fresh fruit and other bits of goodness. Don't forget the expertly assembled beer and wine lists. Also, Pilar offers cooking class for a $35 fee. Visit their website for details. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Casual and cool |
587 St. Helena Highway South Highway 29 Napa Valley, CA 94574 United States +1 707 967 0550 http://www.presssthelena.com/ |
This top-notch restaurant is as famous for its view as for meats and seafood. Trees and flowers frame the exterior, while floor-to-ceiling wine racks, huge chairs and crystal accessories add to the cozy ambiance created by the roaring fireplace indoors. The food here is as delicious as it looks - you will find yourself eating your way through roasts and grills, casseroles and delicious desserts (the Baked Alaska comes highly recommended!). The wine list is a surprise, for it features some rare vintages alongside local varietals. The staff is friendly and informative, if a little tardy. Review © 2007, Wcities |
