If anything, Trefethen Vineyards echoes only one thing, and that is opulence. The latitude of the wine library, where bottles are neatly crammed into vivid compartments, nicely displays the grandness of this place. The Trefethen family has been in this service for over four decades, and they promise to produce amazing wines as they proudly hold the Halo, Merlot, Chardonnay, Viognier, Harmony, Pinot Noir, s.i.n. and the likes to sweep the visitors off their feet. And why not? For this is the only American vineyard that never buys outside grapes for their produce! Review © 2007, Wcities |

Having been there for over three decades, this small winery has developed its own charm. And even though Tulocay does not fancy major visitors' tours and complimentary gifts, the place sure has its own quaint way of involving visitors in wine tasting. Non-rhetorical but surely relishing place this is! Review © 2007, Wcities |

Bordeaux and Chardonnay acres line the property of White Rock Vineyards. The underground winery also ages and stores the wines, the temperature and humidity being perfect catalysts. The wines are well-priced, especially the Claret, which is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. The winery doesn't have wine tours but call ahead and the owners might show you around the estate. Review © 2007, Wcities |
