The small entrance to this restaurant is lit up in green and can be found on the left hand side of the small but enchanting Piazza S.Maria la Nova. The restaurant is also accessible by car, although parking in either Piazza Matteotti or in Via Medina is advisable. The decor adheres to Neopolitan traditions and although small, the restaurant is simply yet elegantly furnished and has a cosy, friendly atmosphere. The frequent musical soirees, typically Neopolitan in nature, are particularly pleasant. Food is prepared to traditional Neopolitan recipes and always with carefully selected ingredients and choice garnishes.

The restaurant is average size, and is furnished in a simple way, which makes it functional and comfortable. There is good service in a cordial, friendly atmosphere. Although there is not such a wide choice on the menu, it is nonetheless complete, and offers typical regional dishes and the main national foods. The starters and main courses are all good, but the true specialty here is pizza which is prepared in a traditional way as well as in more original ways with beans and pasta. It is advisable to use public transport to come here, especially during the day, because of the restaurant's central position and the lack of parking spaces in this area.

The restaurant is on the picturesque Piazza del Gesù Nuovo. It makes a pleasant place stop-off point for tourists and people working nearby. Upon entry, you will encounter the bar, through which you have to walk in order to get to the restaurant. The restaurant itself is medium-sized, and the decor is functional, in the manner characteristic of a trattoria. There are tables outside which are sheltered by an ample gazebo which is available for use both in summer and winter. From here, you can take in a view of the entire piazza. The menu is limited to a small selection of courses which vary from day to day. This means that the prices of dishes are fairly low. The food consists of various national and traditionally Neopolitan dishes.

Founded in 1936, this pizzeria is definitely one of the most folkloristic and photogenic in the whole of Naples. In fact, due to its location in the heart of the historic city center, it has come to represent the archetypal Neopolitan pizzeria which has become the subject of many documentaries and films. One of these was 'Maccaroni' by Jack Lemon and Marcello Mastroianni. Obviously, pizzas are the specialty here. This restaurant is situated under the arcade at the crossing of Via Pessina and Piazza Museo Nazionale and is just a short walk from the Museo Nationale. Decorated in an elegant yet rustic style, it is divided into several areas, one of which is an intimate attic with only a few tables. The cuisine is typically Neapolitan, with pizzas available for lunch and dinner, as well as delicious fresh desserts similar to traditional Sicilian sweets.

Zorbas

Typical Greek tavern in the Liberty area
5 Via Corradino Di Svevia
Naples 80122
Italy
+39 81 66 7522
The restaurant is in the beautiful Piazza Amedeo area, which itself is only a minute's walk away. It can easily be seen from the street thanks to the luminous coloured sign. There is easy parking in the immediate vicinity. This is a typical Greek tavern, which is reproduced through rustic surroundings and the lively atmosphere. Discrete lighting, wooden tables and other typical particulars add to its atmosphere. Naturally, Greek food is predominant here, even if the rules are bent in some ways; don't miss the dishes containing Feta Cheese and the many specialities with Meat.

1 Via Marinaro, Casandrino
Naples
Italy
+39 81 764 2565
The trattoria, "Zia" (Aunt) Teresa was created in 1916 in one of the small shops of the hamlet Marinaro; this was the name of the energetic woman who daily prepared tasty meals for the fishermen and workers of the place. Zì Teresa is now one of the most famous places to eat in Naples, where politicians and famous stars visit. The cuisine specialises in Mediterranean dishes with emphasis on local recipes but there are also traditional Italian dishes.
