The restaurant is situated at one of the crossroads on the Via S. Strato. The interior is small and decorated in the rustic style typical of public houses: lots of warm colours, emphasised by the diffused lighting. For those seeking a little fresh air, there is also a quiet area outside, where several tables are laid out in the summer. The cuisine is typically Mediterranean, with lots of seafood specialities. The pizzas, prepared either the traditional way, or "by the metre," are very good. Review © 2007, Wcities |

The restaurant is on the picturesque Piazza del Gesù Nuovo. It makes a pleasant place stop-off point for tourists and people working nearby. Upon entry, you will encounter the bar, through which you have to walk in order to get to the restaurant. The restaurant itself is medium-sized, and the decor is functional, in the manner characteristic of a trattoria. There are tables outside which are sheltered by an ample gazebo which is available for use both in summer and winter. From here, you can take in a view of the entire piazza. The menu is limited to a small selection of courses which vary from day to day. This means that the prices of dishes are fairly low. Small, welcoming restaurant |
Via S. Anna de Lombardi Naples 80134 Italy +39 81 551 7158 |
The restaurant stands on the road and so is clearly visible when walking along the upper part of via S. Anna dei Lombardi. During the day at least it is preferable to reach it on foot, since the area around is heavily trafficked and there is a shortage of car parking available. This little family run restaurant offers a fairly large dining area, decorated in a rustic style. The cuisine is principally Neopolitan. There is a lunchtime 'tourist menu', which offers a choice of three starters, several main courses and a selection of side dishes. There is a full menu for evening meals. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Typical Neapolitan trattoria |
32 Via Medina Naples 80133 Italy +39 81 551 5233 |
This is a typical Neapolitan trattoria, furnished in a rustic, but elegant style with fishing nets hanging from the ceiling. The walls are covered with frescoes representing ancient Naples. The trattoria is air-conditioned and has two floors. The lower floor is a pizzeria. It often has Neapolitan singers and a Panariello (small basket), which is used to lower your bill from the first floor to the ground floor. You can eat outside in the summer. The cuisine is typically Neapolitan - this is especially the case with the Pizzas. The Pignatielli are excellent, especially those made with tomato, ham and buffalo mozzarella.
