Nashville's first microbrewery and eatery |
111 Broadway Nashville, TN 37201 United States +1 615 251 4677 http://www.gordonbiersch.com/ |
With eight different brews in its vats at all times, Big River is sure to have a flavor and body to suit your taste. From the light Sweet Magnolia to the stout and hearty Iron Horse Dark, you will find micro-brewed nirvana in downtown Nashville. Pints are $3-5, depending on the brew. Should you get hungry from lifting all those mugs, there is a complete lunch and dinner menu. Entrees range from simple burgers and sandwiches to thick and juicy Drunken Rib-eye ($10.95), a 12-ounce rib-eye marinated in beer and served with veggies and baked potato. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Jazz and fine food |
2210 Crestmoor Road Nashville, TN 37215 United States +1 615 269 5861 http://www.fscotts.com/ |
Much like F. Scott Fitzgerald himself, this restaurant is elegant and cool. Featuring live jazz nightly and several intimate dining rooms, F. Scott's offers patrons an exciting alternative to the average bar and restaurant. Peppercorn Seared Tuna is a house favorite, and the Roasted Monkfish is served with a wonderful corn chowder. Grilled venison, beef and chicken round out the menu, and don't forget dessert. The Pear Tarte Tatin with caramelized fruit is divine. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Casually elegant dining |
73 White Bridge Road Suite 130 Nashville, TN 37205 United States +1 615 352 0981 http://www.jalexanders.com/ |
The décor is simple and understated, yet elegant and tasteful. Linen tablecloths, dark woods and glass accents lend themselves well to the romantic atmosphere. Start your meal with an outrageously tasty Caesar salad. Choose one of the fresh seafood entrees or a thick, juicy steak so tender it literally falls off the bone. Southwestern chicken pasta is a hot and spicy selection. Alcohol and soft beverages are served. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Located in the historic Cannery building, this lounge has an interesting past. It began its journey in 1863 as a flourmill and later became a coffee grinding shop. In 1957, the Dale Company took over the building and manufactured processed food items, such as jams, peanut butter and jelly. In the early 1970s, a restaurant and theater sprang up in the building. Famous artists, such as Jimmy Cliff, Iggy Pop, Lenny Kravitz and Robin Trouer have performed at this venue. The lounge has a seating capacity of 500 and an adjacent room that has pool tables and pinball machines. Review © 2007, Wcities |
