Blues comes to the office |
818 3rd Avenue South Nashville, TN 37210 United States +1 615 259 9891 http://www.3rdandlindsley.com/ |
The most authentic blues bar this side of Chicago is located in the 3rd Avenue office complex and strip mall. Wednesday night's feature house band, The Wooten Brothers, comprised of the insanely talented Victor Wooten (of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones) and his two brothers. The live music has another added benefit. Lines at the bar are very short, as everyone is near the stage listening to the tunes! Food is typical bar fare but still quite good. The burgers are excellent. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Famous artists, such as Jimmy Cliff, Iggy Pop, Lenny Kravitz and Robin Trouer have performed at this venue. Country music dance club |
416 B Broadway Nashville, TN 37203-3931 United States +1 615 244 9552 http://www.robertswesternworld... |
Don't let the name fool you, you can't buy buckles or boots here, but you certainly should wear them when you come, and a good-looking Stetson hat wouldn't hurt either. This is a Nashville dance-club legend and its popularity has revitalized the entire Broadway area of town. Crowded, smoke filled and always noisy, this traditional honky tonk offers a cramped floor for two-stepping with your sweetheart and plenty of tables to relax with the coldest beer around, but be forewarned: there is no line dancing here. There just isn't enough room, and besides, Robert doesn't care for it. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Country music tradition |
422 Broadway Nashville, TN 37203 United States +1 615 726 0463 http://www.tootsies.net |
Long ago, when country music superstars were performing at the Grand Ole Opry, this lounge became famous for featuring those stars when the "big show" was over. Fans still come here to see top-name performers and local artists alike, and the atmosphere hasn't changed a bit. The stage is small, but the sound is still huge and country music lovers still ring up enormous bar tabs, just like in the old days. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Eclectic music and more |
112 Second Avenue North Nashville, TN 37201 United States +1 615 251 0097 http://www.windowsonthecumberl... |
Unlike many downtown music venues, this intimate music hall has character and atmosphere. Tall windows line the wood-paneled walls and actually do overlook the Cumberland River. The narrow room features a small stage and a small balcony. The tables are normally pushed to the walls to make room for dancing, and there's plenty of reason to dance. A local band kicks off the show every night at five with an "unplugged" set, followed by the nightly headliner. Saturday night is old-time country night and Sundays feature the sounds of the islands with reggae bands. Come in and enjoy a brew, listen to some tunes and dance the night away. No cover charge.
