Authentic brew pub |
1918 West End Avenue Nashville, TN 37203 United States +1 615 327 9969 http://www.blackstonebrewery.com |
This is a great choice for casual dining with a group of friends. This is one of the few places where the thirty-somethings outnumber the kids. The food here is not spectacular, but the pizzas do merit some praise. These are the build-your-own variety with ample amounts of vegetables, meats and cheeses, and your choice of crust. The real draw is the beer. All varieties are brewed on-site and include something for everyone—lager, ale, pilsner, stout, pale— you name it, they brew it. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Romantic Tapas restaurant and bar |
911 20th Avenue South Nashville, TN 37212 United States +1 615 321 3043 http://pansouth.net/boundry-ma... |
This is no ordinary Tapas restaurant; the Bound'ry infuses life into food. It is famous for its unique presentation of Flapjacks—tiny pancakes topped with sauteed lobster, roasted pistachios, apples and Indian spices. The menu changes frequently, but standby favorites include Ostrich, Paella, Cajun Veal Chops and Barbeque Chicken-Crawfish Manicotti. The kitchen isn't the only star here. The bar is a premier spot for gathering with old friends or making new ones. The extensive beer selection includes foreign, domestic and micro-brewed beers and fine wines. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Hot food, hot times |
1900 Broadway at 19th Avenue South Nashville, TN 37203 United States +1 615 321 3363 http://www.BroadwayBrewhouse.net/ |
The Broadway Brewhouse & Mojo is Louisiana Cajun style cooking in a casual environment, served up with the largest selection of beer in town. Making this establishment a popular nightspot. Jambalaya and gumbo are never short on heat and are always chock full of crawfish, unlike some of the other so-called Cajun eateries around town. Lovers of Southwestern food will be thrilled to find tortilla dishes loaded with rice and beans, rich sauces and hearty spices. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Alternative music hall and bar |
2219 Elliston Place Nashville, TN 37203 United States +1 615 321 4457 |
Located in the middle of the Elliston "Rock Block," this unassuming nightspot provides alternative music lovers a place to see their favorite local artists. The room is small, but the stage is always rocking with the latest of Nashville's aspiring rock stars. In the bar, the quietest spot in the club, you can carry on a conversation, but you don't come to The End to talk. You come here to dance, listen to great live music and see who else actually found a parking space in this busy district. Parking is a problem, so the big lot near Vanderbilt University across the street is your best bet. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Eight-hour happy hour |
2200 Elliston Place Nashville, TN 37203 United States +1 615 320 9441 |
This is a great place to head if you are looking for an eight-hour happy hour, 11a-7p daily or a great place to shoot pool and drink beer. The bar serves nearly 30 types of beer and exceptional food brought over from Mosko's next door. All five pool tables cost $3 per hour before 7p, $6 per hour thereafter. Tournament leagues meet on Wednesday nights, so unless you're looking for competition, come another day. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Comfortable Atmosphere, Fun Food |
5 Opry Mills Drive Nashville, TN 37214 United States +1 615 514 4900 http://www.tgifridays.com/ |
The TGI Friday's is one of the most popular joints around Nashville. Crowds flock here for familiar favorites like Shrimp Friday's or the Texas Skewers (beef, chicken and shrimp sauteed and served with veggies on long skewers). This is the same as any other Friday's you've seen, except that each night the manager instructs the kitchen to "work up" a special item. It may be fried catfish with sauteed onions or a tasty slice of spinach and pesto pizza. Whatever they come up with, diners delight in the change of pace. The bar stays open until 3am and provides libations of all types: import and domestic beers, mixed drinks and a fair wine selection. Review © 2007, Wcities |
