Authentic brew pub |
1918 West End Avenue Nashville, TN 37203 United States +1 615 327 9969 http://www.blackstonebrewery.com |
This is a great choice for casual dining with a group of friends. This is one of the few places where the thirty-somethings outnumber the kids. The food here is not spectacular, but the pizzas do merit some praise. These are the build-your-own variety with ample amounts of vegetables, meats and cheeses, and your choice of crust. The real draw is the beer. All varieties are brewed on-site and include something for everyone—lager, ale, pilsner, stout, pale— you name it, they brew it. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Home brew and home cooking |
1805 21st Avenue South (At Belcourt) Nashville, TN 37212 United States +1 615 385 0050 http://www.boscosbeer.com |
If you normally shy away from brew pubs because the food takes a back seat to the beer, welcome to the exception to that rule. Bosco's turns out some of the finest food in Nashville, as well as an extensive selection of beers brewed onsite. The Brewmaster's Dinner is a sampling of different entrees prepared exclusively by Bosco's master chef, and each is served with a different brew. A visit here is like an education in food and beverage pairing, and it's a lot of fun. The menu is filled with bistro-style food, pleasantly presented with care by chef Raoul Tallion. Check website for calendar of events. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Romantic Tapas restaurant and bar |
911 20th Avenue South Nashville, TN 37212 United States +1 615 321 3043 http://pansouth.net/boundry-ma... |
This is no ordinary Tapas restaurant; the Bound'ry infuses life into food. It is famous for its unique presentation of Flapjacks—tiny pancakes topped with sauteed lobster, roasted pistachios, apples and Indian spices. The menu changes frequently, but standby favorites include Ostrich, Paella, Cajun Veal Chops and Barbeque Chicken-Crawfish Manicotti. The kitchen isn't the only star here. The bar is a premier spot for gathering with old friends or making new ones. The extensive beer selection includes foreign, domestic and micro-brewed beers and fine wines. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Hot food, hot times |
1900 Broadway at 19th Avenue South Nashville, TN 37203 United States +1 615 321 3363 http://www.BroadwayBrewhouse.net/ |
The Broadway Brewhouse & Mojo is Louisiana Cajun style cooking in a casual environment, served up with the largest selection of beer in town. Making this establishment a popular nightspot. Jambalaya and gumbo are never short on heat and are always chock full of crawfish, unlike some of the other so-called Cajun eateries around town. Lovers of Southwestern food will be thrilled to find tortilla dishes loaded with rice and beans, rich sauces and hearty spices. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Legendary country music beer bar |
1010 16th Ave South Nashville, TN 37212 United States +1 615 726 0446 |
Country Music stars Travis Tritt and Lorrie Morgan have visited this tavern, along with Lee Roy Purnell and David Lee Murphy. What brings them here? Tradition. For decades Dianne and Bobby Herald have hosted up-and-coming artists in what they call "a little old beer bar." Sure, they serve beer, but they also serve some of the best live country music in Nashville. Top artists still come by to perform for the packed house, and they usually stick around to toss back a cold one. Domestic beer is cheap enough at $1.75, and chips and pizza are served all night.
