Ethiopian flavor in the Music City |
415 Thompson Lane Nashville, TN 37211 United States +1 615 332 0710 |
Your meal is served on large, flat, round bread. This is a staple of the Ethiopian culture and is much like sourdough. The bread is topped with an assortment of fresh vegetables (the Ethiopian diet consists mostly of vegetables and cheese). Small bowls of sauces and spices are brought to your table for dipping. Don't look for utensils, because Ethiopian chow is eaten without fork or knife. Instead, tear off a piece of the thin, pancake like injera bread, scoop up some veggies and dip into your favorite sauce. Imported and domestic beer is served. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Nashville's only Persian restaurant |
216 Thompson Lane Nashville, TN 37211 United States +1 615 333 3711 |
Turkish cuisine is not necessarily something Nashville natives are accustomed to, but this small Persian eatery is trying to change that. The pleasant wait staff makes a good first impression, and will gladly help you choose from the many delicious dishes served here. Lamb and beef entrees are accompanied by spicy rice dishes and garden fresh salads. Gyros (pronounced hee-rohs) and kabobs are the most popular lunch items. The soups, prepared fresh daily, are also reliably good. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Legendary motorcycles and burgers |

Theme restaurants come and go, but few allow you to eat your meal atop a Harley Lowrider. Here in this clever diner, patrons are treated to cheeseburgers and smoked sausage sandwiches as good as any around. You can also purchase Harley Davidson clothing, gift items and motorcycle accessories. The decor is strictly "Hell's Angels" but the service is warm and friendly. Saunter back into the motorcycle showroom and pick out your dream hog or straddle one of the motorcycle seat bar stools for breakfast. One thing you won't find here are the immense crowds normally associated with such theme establishments. Expect to pay $7 for a good sized burger, $10 if you choose the fries, and you really should. They are delicious. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Mexican food with an American flavor |

There is always a crowd here, and most nights the line out front stretches down the sidewalk. Patience, however, is rewarded. Get ready for giant portions of delicious burritos, combination platters, and fajitas with rice and beans on the side garnished with more cheese than you have ever seen. The fried ice cream is a marvelous ending to your meal, and the $9 margaritas, large enough to serve at least four people, will put you in a festive mood and keep you there most of the night! Hearty portions of classic American dishes and an elegantly casual atmosphere make this a perfect choice for meetings with clients, family gatherings and nice evenings out. To ease the wait for a table, venture into the lounge, open until 1a. The kitchen prepares beef, chicken and seafood entrees to order. Take a trip to the enormous salad bar while you wait for your meal. An extensive wine list and homemade desserts completes the dining experience. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Sizzling Steaks in a Casual Setting |

While you wait for a table, have a drink at the bar and toss peanut shells on the floor. The wait is often long, but the steaks are worth it. The chef starts with a lean cut of choice beef, rubs it with Longhorn's signature spices and grills it to perfection. The succulent filet mignon, the hearty rib eye and the ever popular t-bone are all part of the culinary repertoire. The signature entree, a huge 22-ounce porterhouse steak, is beloved by serious beef lovers. Non-beef eaters can enjoy chicken and seafood dishes. Review © 2007, Wcities |
