Turkish cuisine is not necessarily something Nashville natives are accustomed to, but this small Persian eatery is trying to change that. The pleasant wait staff makes a good first impression, and will gladly help you choose from the many delicious dishes served here. Lamb and beef entrees are accompanied by spicy rice dishes and garden fresh salads. Gyros (pronounced hee-rohs) and kabobs are the most popular lunch items. The soups, prepared fresh daily, are also reliably good.

While they take your order and prepare the food they haze one another, joke with the customers and playfully argue about the day's events. The food, however, is no laughing matter. Enormous gyros, Greek salads full of feta cheese and homemade baklava will satisfy your hunger and delight your taste buds. Don't pass up the fresh squeezed lemonade. No alcohol is served here.

+1 615 256 4075 You will find the best gyro (pronounced JEER-oh) in town at this Metro Center eatery, but diners who don't care for ethnic food can also feast on cheeseburgers and fries, chicken sandwiches with a Greek flavor or fresh vegetable pita sandwiches. The gyros are the star here, however, served with rice pilaf and tabbouleh. With most restaurants moving closer to the tourist trade, it's nice to still have a place to go for a quick meal that really satisfies.

More than just a Greek restaurant, this Belmont eatery serves Italian and Middle Eastern dishes as well. Choose from spaghetti, gyros and spinach quiche, all on the same menu. Wine coolers and beer provide adult refreshment, and the outdoor patio provides a wonderful setting for dining during the warmer months. If you can't tear yourself away from your house for a meal here, don't worry, Tabouli's delivers.
