Casa Fiesta

Mexican food with an American flavor
2615 Elm Hill Pike
at Royal Parkway
Nashville, TN 37214
United States
+1 615 871 9490

There is always a crowd here, and most nights the line out front stretches down the sidewalk. Patience, however, is rewarded. Get ready for giant portions of delicious burritos, combination platters, and fajitas with rice and beans on the side garnished with more cheese than you have ever seen. The fried ice cream is a marvelous ending to your meal, and the $9 margaritas, large enough to serve at least four people, will put you in a festive mood and keep you there most of the night!

Chico Mexican Restaurant

Inexpensive yet delicious Mexican cuisine
928 Two Mile Parkway
Nashville, TN 37072-2323
United States

http://www.elchico.com/
This is no place for the lactose intolerant. Cheese comes with everything here, and so does a healthy serving of hospitable service. Since it opened in 1940, El Chico has been pleasing diners with its classic Mexican combinations: tamales, enchiladas, and refried beans. The chef stuffs tons of meat, cheese, and beans into everything he prepares, from tacos, to burritos, to delicious chimichangas. Chips and salsa are a standard pre-dinner snack, and a bowl of spicy vegetables offers a decidedly different approach to 'chip-dipping.'

La Hacienda Tortilleria

Mexican restaurant and grocery
2617 Nolensville Pike
Nashville, TN 37211
United States
+1 615 256 5066
This Mexican restaurant doubles as an ethnic market selling everything from pig ears to piñatas. Far from trendy, this simple establishment services those wanting authentic fixings for their favorite meals. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner. Tacos, burritos, enchiladas and tamales are not the run of the mill fast food variety, but rather real Mexican cuisine served for very few pesos. If you decide to shop for ingredients to make your own feast, take your time and enjoy a handful of tortilla chips as you walk the aisles. They serve them hot all day to both diners and shoppers.

Palmas Mexican Restaurant

Popular Mexican restaurant
5511 Charlotte Pike
Nashville, TN 37209-1906
United States
+1 615 352 0313
Some of the spiciest, freshest and most delicious Mexican food is served inside this no-nonsense eatery. Lunch specials are less then $5, and dinner is only a few dollars more. Enchiladas, chimichangas and stuffed bell peppers are prepared by the kitchen in a flash. and are even better than those found in restaurants charging twice as much. Bring a big appetite because they don't skimp on portions, and that goes double for the margaritas! There's usually a line for a table here, but it's worth the wait.

If you are tired of chimichangas without character, fajitas without sizzle and quesadillas without pizzazz, step into a world of creative Southwestern cuisine. Nowhere else will you find quesadillas filled with salmon and pesto sauce or squash filled tortillas. In fact everything here is served with a dash of creativity, and it is a welcome change from ordinary Mexican fare. The spacious dining room is tastefully decorated in a Southwestern theme, and the outdoor patio offers a relaxing setting for sipping margaritas. Imported and domestic beers help quench the fire from the food, and the soft lighting and quiet music calm you down.

Nashville loves Tex-Mex cooking, which is a combination of traditional Mexican and Southwest American cuisines, and this restaurant near the Vanderbilt University campus attracts a crowd of local diners. Whether it's hot or cold outside, enjoy lunch on the huge outdoor patio. Heat lamps and cooling fans provide simple climate control. Order a bucket of your favorite beer, some queso and chips and get ready for a great afternoon with friends. If you need a little more nourishment, try the quesadillas or enchiladas, both of which are extremely popular.

The food here is authentic, and the decor is reminiscent of a Mexican cantina. Begin your meal with margarita and basket of tortilla chips with fresh salsa perfect for dipping. Move on to one of the traditional favorites, like chicken fajitas or enchiladas. Adventurous types should try the Shrimp Tamales, an interesting twist on an old favorite. Vegetarian plates and daily specials are available and the full-service bar will prepare your favorite mixed drink.
