At the turn of the century, Nashville's waterways were filled with catfish, traders and every type of bandit. Each ship passing along the Cumberland River would appoint one of the crew members as the 'Cock of the Walk' or lookout against thieves and aggressors. Today, the Cumberland is a tranquil place, which still provides catfish for this restaurant bearing the name of those brave crewmen. Your server, in period uniform, will bring you a plateful of catfish, either broiled, grilled, fried or almond-crusted, the likes of which you've never tasted. Enjoy a drink from the bar and sample one of the delicious appetizers while you wait for your meal. Don't be surprised to see some of country music's best and brightest dining at the next table.
