Dining is situated around a 200,000 gallon floor-to-ceiling aquarium filled with over 100 different species of tropical fish and sea life, and every seat is a good seat. The menu includes a variety of surf and turf and the servers are knowledgeable about both the menu and the aquarium. The restaurant is conviently located in the Opry Mills Mall and also includes a bar, souvenir shop, and offers opportunities for students to participate in half-day marine biology programs. Check the calendar or call for upcoming acts and performances. New Orleans-style Cajun cuisine is served nightly until midnight. Don't underestimate the spices—you'll get burned if you're not careful. Don't dare leave without tasting the jambalaya and gumbo. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Authentic Louisiana Cajun Cooking |
3214, Charlotte Avenue Nashville, TN 37209 United States +1 615 329 2626 http://www.broscajuncuisine.com/ |
Bros offers spicy, authentic, delicious Cajun cooking at a very reasonable price in a comfortable café atmosphere. The service is excellent and the establishment welcomes regulars like they're part of the family. If you're new to Cajun food and don't know what to order go for the House Sampler. You'll get a reasonable portion of all of the regular menu items including Gumbo, Crawfish Etouffee, Shrimp Creole, Red Beans and Rice, cornbread and your choice of side according to availability. If they're serving turnip greens on the day you visit, go for it, they're fantastic! In addition to their regular menu items, Bros also offers a Cajun special of the day and a full catering menu with party planning. -Lynn-nore Chittom Review © 2007, Wcities |

A fresh approach to seafood |
2800 Opryland Drive Opryland Hotel Nashville, TN 37214 United States +1 615 871 6848 http://www.oprylandhotels.com/ |
The convincing oasis setting at Cascades almost makes you forget you're in a luxury hotel. The tranquil fountains and exotic plants lend themselves perfectly to the seafood menu. Guests of the Opryland Hotel rave about the food and fine service here, but this clever upscale dining experience isn't for hotel guests only. It's perfect for a romantic dinner or business luncheon, and you will love the soft-shell crabs, salmon steaks and scallop ravioli. Start your meal with oysters on the half shell and top off the event with something from the dessert cart, which features a delightfully sinful collection of cakes, pies and tortes. New Orleans Dining in Downtown Nashville |
1721, Church Street Nashville, TN 37203 United States +1 615-322-9932 http://www.chappys.com |
After the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina, Chappy's Seafood Restaurant relocated to downtown Nashville and reopened as Chappy's on Church. This authentic New Orleans restaurant features live jazz music, an outstanding menu of Cajun and Creole delights and an atmosphere of beautiful stained glass and fine art. Rather than side booths, Chappy's includes a number of individual enclaves for private seating, which enable guests to hear the music and also enjoy dinner-table conversation. The food and service are both fabulous and the desserts are decadent-mile-high and delicious-especially the C'est Magnifique coconut cake. You might need a take-home tray just for the dessert. -Lynn-nore Chittom Review © 2007, Wcities |

Historic name, historic food |
2624 Music Valley Drive Nashville, TN 37214-1208 United States +1 615 889 1930 |
At the turn of the century, Nashville's waterways were filled with catfish, traders and every type of bandit. Each ship passing along the Cumberland River would appoint one of the crew members as the 'Cock of the Walk' or lookout against thieves and aggressors. Today, the Cumberland is a tranquil place, which still provides catfish for this restaurant bearing the name of those brave crewmen. Your server, in period uniform, will bring you a plateful of catfish, either broiled, grilled, fried or almond-crusted, the likes of which you've never tasted. Enjoy a drink from the bar and sample one of the delicious appetizers while you wait for your meal. Don't be surprised to see some of country music's best and brightest dining at the next table. Casually elegant dining |
73 White Bridge Road Suite 130 Nashville, TN 37205 United States +1 615 352 0981 http://www.jalexanders.com/ |
The décor is simple and understated, yet elegant and tasteful. Linen tablecloths, dark woods and glass accents lend themselves well to the romantic atmosphere. Start your meal with an outrageously tasty Caesar salad. Choose one of the fresh seafood entrees or a thick, juicy steak so tender it literally falls off the bone. Southwestern chicken pasta is a hot and spicy selection. Alcohol and soft beverages are served. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Casual seafood restaurant |
1654 Westgate Circle Nashville, TN 37027 United States +1 615 661 6645 http://www/joescrabshack.com/ |
This ultracasual eatery is all about seafood and fun. The restaurant serves a wide variety of crab, from Alaskan snow crab to Gulf Coast. Sit down at your table and spread out the newspaper, because a meal here is a messy event. Then use the sturdy mallet to crack open your prize. Platters of fresh shrimp, noth fried and boiled, offer another option from the deep blue ocean. Landlubbers can order a sandwich or burger, and kids will love the special menu just for them. Popular Southern-style Diner |
3803 Dickerson Rd Nashville, TN 37207 United States +1 615 860 4211 |
When owner Bobby Nelson opened this Southern-style diner, he had no idea how popular a spot it would become. Finding a table is next to impossible during lunch hours, but for those fortunate enough to score one, culinary nirvana awaits. The restaurant offers five meat entrees and seven vegetables daily, all prepared fresh. You choose one meat and three vegetables for less than $5. The restaurant features pit-smoked barbecue every evening. On Fridays, try the famous all-you-can-eat catfish dinner. Fine Dining in a Beautiful Setting |
618 Church Street Nashville, TN 37219 United States +1 615 259 4558 http://www.mortons.com/ |
Downtown business deals, marriage proposals and special nights out require elegant dining. There are few places more elegant than Morton's. Guests are greeted by a friendly hostess and directed to the comfortable bar to wait for their table. The bar is amply stocked with imported and domestic beers, along with fine wine. Once seated in the dark, wood-paneled dining room you will discover the real charm of this restaurant: the food. Steaks and seafood are impressive and served alongside fresh vegetables. Bread and salads complete an elegant, albeit expensive meal. Your evening will cost you at least $100 for two, but is well worth it. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Southern Plantation turned Restaurant |
1400 Murfreesboro Pike Nashville, TN 37217 United States +1 615 367 2777 http://www.neworleansmanor.com/ |
This old plantation house has been the home of the city's finest seafood buffet for over 20 years. Step past the tall white columns, through the double doors and into a piece of Southern history. The tall ceilings and wide windows provide a perfect view of the airplanes taking off from the nearby Nashville airport. It's a strange view from such an elegant establishment, but one glance at the buffet and you will forsake any other sights. Crab legs to lobster, shrimp to prime rib are at the ready. The price is a bit steep, but you can't find this much seafood at this price anywhere else. Dress is business casual, so you can be comfortable in jeans and a polo or a blazer and tie. Elegant steaks and seafood |
2800 Opryland Dr Opryland Hotel Nashville, TN 37214 United States +1 615 871 6848 http://www.gaylordhotels.com/g... |
You may not think of steak houses as romantic, but this restaurant inside the famed Opryland Hotel is more than a steak house. The rich wood accents and mood lighting do have a romantic quality, but you'll really fall in love with the food. Popular menu items include Filet Mignon ($22.95) and Prime Rib ($18.95), but you'll find New York strip, Porterhouse and T-bone steaks as well. Those with an aversion to red meat should try the fresh seafood and poultry dishes. A bottle of the house wine, a lovely chardonnay, runs $18, and the bar serves mixed drinks as well.
