Blues comes to the office |
818 3rd Avenue South Nashville, TN 37210 United States +1 615 259 9891 http://www.3rdandlindsley.com/ |
The most authentic blues bar this side of Chicago is located in the 3rd Avenue office complex and strip mall. Wednesday night's feature house band, The Wooten Brothers, comprised of the insanely talented Victor Wooten (of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones) and his two brothers. The live music has another added benefit. Lines at the bar are very short, as everyone is near the stage listening to the tunes! Food is typical bar fare but still quite good. The burgers are excellent. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Ever hear of Garth Brooks? That's right, his first performance was at the Bluebird. And it is this mystique that calls young singers and songwriters looking for their chance at stardom. Monday nights are open-mike, so take your chances with the unknown acts. This is a haven for the struggling artist and the established country star, making it a Nashville tradition for both locals and tourists. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Romantic Tapas restaurant and bar |
911 20th Avenue South Nashville, TN 37212 United States +1 615 321 3043 http://pansouth.net/boundry-ma... |
This is no ordinary Tapas restaurant; the Bound'ry infuses life into food. It is famous for its unique presentation of Flapjacks—tiny pancakes topped with sauteed lobster, roasted pistachios, apples and Indian spices. The menu changes frequently, but standby favorites include Ostrich, Paella, Cajun Veal Chops and Barbeque Chicken-Crawfish Manicotti. The kitchen isn't the only star here. The bar is a premier spot for gathering with old friends or making new ones. The extensive beer selection includes foreign, domestic and micro-brewed beers and fine wines. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Music hall with an eclectic line-up |
2208 Elliston Place Nashville, TN 37203 United States +1 615 321 4400 /+1 615 256 9008(Bookings) http://www.exit-in.com/ |
The Exit has long been the source of live entertainment in the Elliston Square area, but over the course of its history it has suffered neglect. It is amazing that a club that was featured in movies and books, and even Rolling Stone magazine, could fall into such disrepair. Unwilling to see the club close down, Ned Horton stepped in and took over ownership. Today, after much renovation, including a new sound and lighting system, Horton has rebuilt the Exit's reputation as a premier music venue. Changing the name to Exit/In and booking a more eclectic mix of artists, Horton brought this little club back to life, as well as the entire Elliston Place area. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Seven bars in one |
128 2nd Avenue North Nashville, TN 37201 United States +1 615 251 9593 http://www.grahamcentralstatio... |
This may be the biggest nightclub in Nashville, sort of a theme park for adults. Seven bars in one enormous club and non-stop action! Sports fans will find a fully equipped sports bar downstairs. Live music lovers will enjoy Ivories on the second floor, where dueling piano players compete with each other and the crowd. Bell Bottoms Disco Dance Club welcomes you back to the 1970s, and "wannabe" singing stars can spend their evening in one of two Karaoke bars. Metropolis is a Manhattan-style jazz club, and on the same floor is Pirhana, a bump and grind dance club that parties until 3a. Review © 2007, Wcities |
