This deluxe hotel was built in 1902, and it has become a city landmark. The Algonquin affords easy access to the Broadway Theater District, shopping along Fifth Avenue, as well as the Midtown business district. Be sure to visit the Oak Room, famous for its Roundtable, where literary greats Dorothy Parker, James Thurber, Edna Ferber and others met in the 1920s for their Vicious Circle discussions.
