While clothes are indeed sold here, there is a lot more to this company as books, music, and art from locals are also on display. The store is said to meld fashion and media together for a unique street style. It's not about mass-producing items but about understanding that what you wear can be art and communicate who you are simultaneously. aNYthing shows a perspective of New York City through their eyes, which indeed makes the store "a New York thing".
