Located only two miles from Manhattan via the Queens-Midtown Tunnel, this Best Western hotel is small, comfortable and reasonably priced. However, many of the guests of the City View are sports fans who do not even bother heading across the tunnel. Instead, they stay here while enjoying such nearby athletic events as the professional baseball games at Shea Stadium, and the U.S. Open tennis tournament in August at the USTA National Tennis Center in Queens. The hotel provides transportation to major sporting events in the area.
