Originally the American Horse Exchange, this venue resurfaced as The Winter Garden Theater in 1911. Having been home to Andrew LLoyd Webbers "Cats" for an inordinately long period of twenty years, the theater closed for a makeover. In 2002 it reopened as The Cadillac Winter Garden Theatre and has been staging "Mamma Mia"(yes its the Abba song) since then. A huge seating capacity of about 1526, makes this an ideal place to stage musical extravaganzas. Musical buffs cannot ignore this place if you are in the Big Apple.
