This is the place to seriously impress your date or anyone else for that matter. Most believe that the sumptuous, whimsical decor adds to the romance. The murals were painted by Howard Chandler Christy beginning in 1934, an illustrator and portrait painter, he lived next door to the restaurant at the Hotel des Artistes. Besides the décor, the French dishes at the Cafe are exquisite, both in presentation and taste. Jacket and tie are required.
