This West Village shop is a chess player's dream. The large selection of game sets range from the traditional to the campy-say checkmate with a Simpson's or Alice in Wonderland game piece. Miscellaneous items include instruction booklets as well as competition clocks. On any given day, you can find some fierce competition in the on-site chess studio, with player levels ranging from novice to professional.
