If the hunger pangs strike you in the middle of a trip to the Lower East Side, head straight to Chickpea. A no-frills destination offering quality middle-eastern fare at low prices. The Chicken Shwarmas are juicy and high on taste. The Falafel sandwiches are a hot favorite and so is the creamy humus. There are pita breads and yummy authentic sauces to pick from as well. Everything on the list is worth trying. Though essentially a take-away joint, there is a seating area at the back of the counter where you can enjoy a quick bite.
