Named for an obelisk in nearby Central Park, this little gem of a jazz club introduces many rising young blues, jazz and performance groups and individual vocalists. The performances are live and appear on stage each evening at 9p. The food is interesting, including Middle Eastern dishes as well as European and American favorites. The Sunday morning brunch with amateur music jam sessions is a delight.
