Cooper Union, established in 1859, is a historic meeting place and also a place for meetings of the mind. The internationally renowned venue hosts a wide assortment of culture, artistic and especially intellectual personages and events including speeches given by Presidents Lincoln, Grant, Cleveland, Taft and Theodore Roosevelt. Abraham Lincoln gave his "Right Makes Might" speech from the Great Hall podium. Cooper Union is also the place where Thomas Edison and Felix Frankfurter were students. Review © 2009, Wcities |
