Doc Holliday's

Urban Honky-Tonk
141 Avenue A
New York, NY 10009
+1 212 979 0312
http://www.dochollidaybar.com/index.html
In a city rife with pricey bars containing pretentious patrons, Doc Holliday's stands as a welcoming oasis of fun in New York's East Village. It's the kind of bar where it's common to see the bartenders dancing on the bar and doling out shots straight from the bottle. The rugged, spartan surroundings include several weathered booths and tables, and a jukebox that is more likely to play Johnny Cash than John Legend. Doc's has no cover charge, a friendly whiskey-and-beer vibe, and best of all -- most beers will only cost you about $3. Stop by to play a little pool, and if you're lucky, you may be treated to an impromptu bagpipe (yes, bagpipe) concert at this urban honky-tonk. -Philip McCluskey
