Some people consider the Chinese food in Flushing to be superior to what you can find in the more popular Manhattan Chinatown, and this restaurant certainly makes a strong case for that argument. The fish tanks are about all there is for décor, but much of your focus will be on the food anyway. East Lake is best known for its dim sum, which includes such standards as Shrimp Dumplings and Pan-fried Turnip Cakes. There is also Baked Lobster with Garlic Sauce, Scallops in Black Pepper Sauce and Chinese Beef-steak.
