This is a simple, down-to-earth old-style bar that serves decent food. There has been a bar in this space since 1872, and Fanelli's manages to exude the kind of unpretentious confidence that a place can only gain with age. The food includes such pub staples as burgers and chili, but beer is the main focus here. So cut through the smoke, head for the bar and order a drink or two.
