Providing a constant stage for children's theater, the Grove Street Playhouse is New York City's longest running children's theater ensemble. Located in the center of Greenwich Village, the building was originally the site of an Italian tile company. There is seating for approximately 75 people (both young and old) in the warm, intimate space. Many of the shows involve audience participation, with actors encouraging children to get involved.
