If your out of town guest insists on going to Jekyll & Hyde, but you just cannot handle the noise or the crowds, Jack the Ripper (owned by the same people and located just around the corner) is a worthy compromise. It has the same theme décor (Victorian horror show), but is much smaller and more low-key. It offers a large but pricey beer selection, and occasional live music.
