This sushi spot may have been criticized for its small portions and lack of space, especially at the sushi bar, which seats just six! But there are many who swear by the horse mackerel, monkfish liver, omakase dinners for a fixed price, and the sake served up here. Regulars also love the candle-light and bamboo arches that comprise the simple decor. The name of this joint means "jewel box", and it is indeed one of the gems of the East Village.
