Founded in 1992 as a haven for artists, this theater is a true New York collective, embracing the multi-cultural heart of the city. It is a place where actors can express themselves through a variety of exercises from performing on-stage to working the lights. The high-intensity workshops and retreats offer an opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the world of theater, and has produced award-winning results. The theater's schedule is full of performances showcasing the work of company members made up of both seasoned actors (such as Philip Seymour Hoffman) and promising new talents.
