This East Village Italian landmark restaurant features an attractive garden in the back, perfect for summertime dining. All year round, indoor diners are treated to homey gold-frame oil paintings of Italian landscapes and family portraits. Those with hefty appetites and empty wallets will be happy here. Prix fixe specials at lunch and dinner include oversize appetizers, entrees and desserts (with coffee or tea included at dinner). The pasta with fresh clams and prosciutto is a good choice.
