Old-fashioned goodness is chic at this Greenwich Village bakery and cafe. Many trendsetters are spotted nibbling on cupcakes with chocolate, mocha or white butter cream icing. Their cakes are also hard to resist, and the beautiful presentation makes them perfect for special occasions. The Hummingbird Cake is particularly enticing, made with bananas, pineapple and pecans and covered gingerly with cream cheese icing. Since they bake on the premises, this cafe is also quite entertaining-watch the diligent bakers work their magic right before your eyes.
