Named after a cultural anthropologist who dedicated her life to documenting the lives of different societies, the Margaret Mead Film and Video Festival presents international documentaries of various subjects and styles. The festival is located at the American Museum of Natural History and features musical performances, Q&A sessions with some of the filmmakers and guest speakers, and workshops dealing with the film industry. The festival also goes on tour throughout the year, so check the tour schedule on the website for a closer city if you are unable to make it to New York.
