For good African food, Merkato 55 is the place to be. It is owned by Marcus Samuelsson, who is otherwise well known for his Scandinavian cuisine at Aquavit. With two storeys at hand, the restaurant seats 150 people. The walls have pictures from Africa and proverbs have been written on the steel tables. From those on their menu, try the oysters, venison, duck and lobster citrus salad all filled with African spices. The chef tries his hand at creating new stuff like shrimp chili sambal and merguez with com pap or pork belly with radish and mango, which are definitely worth a try...and will certainly be a treat for your taste buds.
