Founded in 1979, the New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) goes beyond hosting just good theatre. A mecca for innovative productions, it is a place where theatre persons can hone their skills and create new styles of work in a collaborative environment. Located in the heart of the city's downtown art scene, it's reputation for original creations are well known.
