"Uptown, not uptight and decidedly New York" is their slogan, and you can add really expensive to the list. This classy French hotel with views of Central Park was opened in 1981. It caters to an upper-class clientele, with a high price tag and amenities such as a rooftop swimming pool and racquetball club.
