Port Authority is the center for bus travel to and from New York City. No longer the seedy crossroads it once was, the renovated terminal spans two blocks and is multi-leveled. It is home to New Jersey Transit bus service(http://www.njtransit.state.nj.us) and major national bus lines such as Greyhound (http://www.greyhound.com) and Peter Pan. Though its size might be intimidating to the business or vacation traveler, there are information booths at every entrance. Main entrances are on both Eighth and Ninth Avenues. Buses run to and from the three major New York area airports (La Guardia, JFK and Newark) for a comparatively nominal fee. There are many shops and eateries to pass the time while you wait for your bus to depart.
